About the Event
The Queer Leadership Workshop 2024, held over three days in Kaidongpham Moirang, aimed to empower young LGBTQIA+ activists from Bishnupur, Thoubal, and Kakching districts in Manipur. The workshop included sessions on self-care and wellness, fostering solidarity, and exploring queer histories and rights, with interactive discussions and activities led by various mentors. Participants reflected on personal and collective aspirations, addressed financial security, and learned about transitioning, legal rights, and advocacy strategies. The initiative, funded by the Mariwala Health Initiative, focused on building community, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging among young queer leaders.
