Manipur LGBTQIA+ Pride 2025

The Manipur Pride event 2025 was held on the 22nd of June 2025 at The Castle Hotel, Palace Compound Imphal, Manipur. The event was co-organised by Matai Society and SAATHII. It had approximately 80 attendees which included allies to the community from social spaces that catered to the LGBTQIA. And the volunteership and support of 3 collectives, namely- Manipur LGBTQ+ Group, Young Transgender Collective, and the Manipur Queer-Trans Peer Supporter’s Collective. The event included a discourse on Pride, an interactive discussion on Queer Women experiences and representation, highlighting Queer/Trans voices from the rural-peripheral regions. A dance and singing showcase along with a story writing competition took place. It was an interactive community meet event focusing on our understanding and aspirations on LGBTQIA+ visibility and queer/trans community engagement. It was the first LGBTQIA+ pride engagement event since the onset of the conflict. Event course-
