June Pride Month

On the second Sunday of Pride Month, Kaidongpham unit of Matai Society organized a vibrant wall painting and community connect event across two locations in the Moirang area. Over 30 community members, including more than 10 LGBTQ+ individuals and over 20 allies, came together to transform public spaces and promote inclusivity through art and conversation. The initiative embodied the spirit of Pride—visibility, unity, and collective action for a better community.

The event unfolded across two distinct locations, with painting at the heart of both experiences:

Spot 1 – Wall Painting at Moirang Bazar:

The group first gathered at a wall near Winger Parking in Moirang Bazar. Participants painted the wall with vibrant colors, turning a public space into a canvas of pride and community spirit. This creative activity was a joyful and lasting way to leave a mark of visibility and belonging.
