June Pride Month

On the first Sunday of Pride Month, over 25 members of the LGBTQ+ community, allies, and supporters gathered at the scenic Loktak Sendra in Manipur for a community cleanliness drive. Organized by the Kaidongpham unit of Matai Society, the event was a powerful statement of care, resilience, and unity.

In a region often marked by conflict, discrimination, and displacement, the community chose a different path—not to fight, but to show up for each other and for the environment. Together, they cleaned public spaces around Loktak Sendra, turning an act of service into a celebration of visibility and solidarity.
