But it's more than just quiet markets; mobility, all forms of economic work and formal activities, and even public protests have been shut down across various districts of Manipur, most intensely in Bishnupur. Not the silence of peace, but the crushing quiet of a prolonged conflict shutdown. As violence escalates across Manipur, entire communities have been locked in their homes—not by choice, but by the brutal reality of survival.
